For over 25 years Kapuskasing has been hosting the annual Festival of Lights and the tradition continues next weekend. The town will be transforming riverside park into a winter wonderland with over 400 thousand square feet of colourful lights to help set the mood for the festivities. Special Events Co-Coordinator for the town and organizer of the festival, Kelly Kraby, says after the Santa Parade makes it’s way over to the park, that’s when the official lighting will begin. Â Kraby says this is something the community looks forward to all year round and hopes to ensure this festival continues to be Kapuskasing’s most impressive winter holiday tradition.
