Winter parking bans are in effect for some of the surrounding communities. The town of Kapuskasing and Cochrane would like to remind residents from the start of November until the end of April you can’t park on the street overnights. The Clerk for the town of Kapuskasing, Barbara Major says the parking ban is only in effect at night.  If you’re parked on the street overnight and hinder the ability of snowplows to do their job, you will be hit with a fine and in Kapuskasing the vehicle will be towed at the owners expense.
