Last night at the Tim Horton Event Centre in Cochrane, members of the Ontario Energy Board, together with representatives from Northern Wires, met with residents to discuss a proposed cost increase. Geoffrey Sutton, Chief Financial Officer for Northern Wires said the meeting was purposed to allow consumers an opportunity for input into the price-setting process.  Sutton said while the apparent increase is 5 dollars and 62 cents, the actual increase will be closer to two dollars on the Northern Wires bill. He says the increase will be toward service delivery costs only, and not the cost of electricity itself.
