Small businesses are the backbone of our economy and when they flourish so do our communities. That’s what the MP for Algoma-Manitoulin-Kapuskasing told the House of Commons while talking about Northern Truss. Northern Truss won Company of the Year at the Northern Ontario Business Awards a few weeks ago and Hughes was praising them for their involment in the community. Owner of Northern Truss, Mathieu Bouchard says it’s the first time his business has been put up for an award at the NOBA’s and the first time since the 1990’s a company from Kapuskasing had the honor of taking one home. Bouchard went on to say it was a great experience and he’s glad he was able to be a part of it.
