The Montreal Canadiens won their fourth straight game beating the Philadelphia Flyers 3-1. In the only other game on the schedule last night the Calgary Flames needed the shootout for a 3-2 win over Chicago.
In the NFL Monday nighter the Denver Broncos improved to 5 and 2 on the season with a 27-9 win over the Houston Texans. Broncos QB Trevor Sieman was 14 for 25 and 157 yards passing.
The Cochrane Crunch lost their away game against the Powassan Voodoos 5-4.
