The Town of Hearst has requested that the next time a health inspector is hired for the Porcupine Health Unit in Kapuskasing they be fully bilingual. Councillor Rick Lafleur says this is something the board is struggling with due to lack of bilingual applicants. Lafleur says the health unit in Kapuskasing is not currently hiring but this would be for the next opening. The issue will be addressed again at the PHU’s board meeting in January.
