Almost two months into the new school year, police are reminding drivers to be careful out on the roads. Staff Sergeant Baldassare Nuccio with the James Bay Detachment says during the hours before and after school there is extra police presence in school zones.  He says drivers can pass a school bus but they have to make sure they are following all the rules of the road.     Nuccio also says that in our community we have safety zones on the road set up around schools and playgrounds. He says speeding in one of these community safety zones will result in higher penalties for the offender.
