Scotiabank in Kapuskasing will be hosting a ride for the cure event to raise funds for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Customer Service Supervisor for Scotiabank, Guylaine Tremblay says they do this event every year and look to raise as much money as possible. She says for every $50 donation they receive, one of the managers will take a pie to the face. Tremblay says they’ve already had a few pies purchased.  There will also be different carnival games to play throughout the day and last year almost $6,000 was raised. To show your support you can pledge local riders, make donations at the bank, or collect your own pledges and come to the bank and ride.
