The Liberals have introduced a new bill that will eliminate the formal position of the FedNor Minister. Timmins-James Bay MP and NDP FedNor critic Charlie Angus is asking what happened to the Liberal MP’s who promised to back the North. He says this move will shut out the voices of Northerners.  Angus says he doesn’t understand why the Liberals don’t get that growing the economy in Northern Ontario will benefit the entire country. He says they need to reverse the harmful decisions and make FedNor a standalone agency.
