The District School Board Ontario North East is holding a community workshop on learning disabilities this month. Since October is Learning Disabilities Awareness Month, the DSB will be marking it with this workshop. It will look at what qualifies as a learning disability, what isn’t, and why students learn differently. It’s happening on October 17th at Diamond Jubilee Public School in Kapuskasing and Cochrane Public School. It will also be available through a videoconference in Timmins, New Liskeard and Kirkland Lake.
