It was do or die for the Remi Lake Cottage Owners Association.
Former Secretary of the organization, Nicole Tremblay says the association would have been forced to fold if members didn’t step up at the meeting on Monday.
The President, Vice President and all members in executive positions were stepping down after being on the board for many years.
Tremblay said they had a big turnout as over 50 members showed up. She says they must have scared members into taking action because at previous meetings only a handful of people came out.
Tremblay thinks the main reason people showed up is because they didn’t want to lose their voice with Moonbeam. She says as an association they have more of an impact instead of individuals voicing their concerns.
They were able to fill all of the roles at the meeting on Monday so the association won’t be forced to fold.
