Ontario’s NDP Health Critic is pushing for a strategy from the government to face the opioid and Fentanyl crisis. France Gelinas, who is also the MPP for Nickel Belt, says the government needs to take action to stop the rising number of deaths in Ontario, as a result of overdosing. Gelinas says that means doctors are struggling to manage the disaster in the dark; with data that is two or three years old. Ontario’s Health Minister, Doctor Eric Hoskins, says the government is taking steps to address the issue.
