STUDENT REFUGEE IN HEARST

A student refugee studying at the University of Hearst has started his classes. Last December the school announced its involvement in the Student Refugee Program and welcomed Elphase  Izibose from Rwanda. Communications Manager for the University of Hearst, Nancy Jacques says they were excited to welcome the refugee student.  Elphase started his courses in August and is enrolled in “Etudes des Enjeux Humains et Sociaux”. There is a local committee in place to ensure his well-being and to help him adjust with the transitioning. UHearst has decided to waive all of the tuition fees for the student refugee.
