Yesterday a group of four Falun Gong practitioners gathered in front of Cochrane’s Town Hall to protest the alleged murder of their fellows by the Chinese government.  China has banned Falun Gong since 1999, stating concerns over national security.  Jay Bruneisen, the spokesman for the group visiting Cochrane, says not only are his people being persecuted and murdered, but their organs are being stolen by government officials and sold on the black market.  The tour group hopes to encourage many Canadians to sign an online petition to stop the persecution of Chinese Falun Gong practitioners.
