YOUNG EAGLES FLY OVER COCHRANE

The weekend was abuzz in Cochrane as the Experimental Aviation Association’s Young Eagles Day took to flight at the Cochrane airport.  Flight times booked for Saturday morning had to be moved to Sunday due to weather, but dozens of local kids were able to come out nonetheless and enjoy free airplane rides from local volunteer pilots.  EAA runs young eagle’s flying days across north America aimed at giving all children – irrespective of socioeconomic background – an opportunity to taste the thrill of aviation.  A substantial number of today’s commercial pilots had their first flight experience as children, attending such events.
