Ahead of the long weekend the OPP is reminding the public to drive safe on highways, waterways, trails and Provincial parks. Over the long weekend the OPP will be focusing on aggressive driving and the Big 4 which include, distracted driving, seatbelts, obeying the speed limit and impaired driving. Staff Sergeant Baldassare Nuccio with the James Bay Detachment says that even if you’re stopped at a red light and caught texting you can still be charged.  Police say distracted driving remains the number one cause of road related deaths in the province.
