The OPP is reporting more cases of distracted driving. As of mid-August the OPP has investigated 38 road related deaths involving an a distracted driver compared to 19 impaired driving deaths. Over the Labor Day weekend the Cochrane OPP is preparing to launch its distracted driving campaign.  Police would like to remind the public to not be the passenger of a distracted driver.  It’s important to recognize the dangers of distracted driving and realize that you could be putting your life at risk.
