Some OPP communications centres are receiving upwards of 100 calls a day regarding the Canadian Revenue Agency Scam. Officers would like to remind the public that it’s not necessary to contact the police unless you are a direct victim of fraud. Any calls regarding the scam should be directed to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre. The high volume of calls is restricting the OPP’s ability to respond to calls that require immediate action.
