The James Bay OPP responded to 1161 calls last month. The stats show that of those calls the highest number was in Provincial offences which totalled 565 charges. That is compared to 145 Criminal Code charges. Staff Sergeant Baldassare Nuccio with the James Bay detachment says the reason that number is so low is due to proactive work into criminal investigations. Officers throughout the James Bay detachment area also completed 1527 hours of road safety and traffic enforcement.
