NewsPOLITIS SPEAKS OUT ON PAVILION SHARE ON: Tim Rout, staff Friday, Aug. 12th, 2016Although the pavilion project in Cochrane was turned down by council, Mayor Peter Politis says it’s not dead yet. He says in order for them to go forward with this project they would need to see increased support from the community. Politis says in order to revive the project members of the public would have to reach out to councilors and express their concerns. Normally the mayor agrees with the decision of council but this time he thinks they passed on an excellent opportunity. Politis also says that most of the funding for the project had already been secured but since it was turned down that money will go towards other communities.
