Pat Kennedy has taken over the roles as Fire Chief and Manager of Protective Services for Kapuskasing. Kennedy has replaced the former Manager of Protective Services Gerry Demeules who recently retired from the position. Kennedy says he has known since was hired in November that he would be taking over this position. As Manager of Protective Services for Kapuskasing Kennedy will have a lot on his plate. Some of the job responsibilities include being Fire Chief, on the police service board, emergency management, dealing with municipal health and safety programs, risk assessment, by-law enforcement, animal control, parking meters and crossing guards.
