NewsAIRPORT DOING THE MATH FOR UPGRADE SHARE ON: Tim Rout, staff Thursday, Jun. 23rd, 2016The Timmins airport could be getting a facelift in the coming years. The Timmins Chamber of Commerce came to council this week, laying out ten recommendations to improve the facility. First Vice-President of the Chamber, Christine Bender, says implementing their recommendations will help boost the local economy. One of the recommendations is to implement a pilot project for public transportation. Airport Manager Dave Dayment is now going to look into all of the recommendations and bring a report on cost back to council. Those numbers will then be analyzed as part of the 2017 budget.
