RETURNING TRAIN SERVICE TO THE NORTH

Cochrane’s town council is convening tonight to go over sector reports and decide whether to support a resolution to return rail service to the region.  Copies of the resolution have been sent to MPs Terry Sheehan and Carol Hughes along with MPPs David Orazietti and Michael Mantha.  The resolution, already supported by the town of Hearst comes from a partnership with the Missanabie Cree First Nation and the Algoma Passenger Train Working Group.  Reports from the CAO, Polar Bear Habitat, Protective Services, Community Services and Municipal Operations are all on THE AGENDA.
