WATCH FOR MOOSE

The OPP is again taking the opportunity to reach out to the public and warn drivers to watch for wildlife on our roads.  The OPP says traditionally June has the highest incident of crashes involving wildlife and it’s doing what it can to reduce that risk.  Watching for the yellow wildlife signs, keeping your eyes peeled on shoulders at night time, not overdriving your headlights and staying off your phone will all help you stay alert and safe.  At one-point last year, northern OPP detachments reported 50 per cent of all collisions involved a moose along the Highway 11 north eastern corridor.
