NewsGRACE PERIOD EXTENDED IN KAP SHARE ON: Tim Rout, staff Wednesday, May. 18th, 2016The grace period for Kapuskasing’s new parking meters is being extended to the end of the month. Meaning no tickets will be issued as residents adjust to the new pay and display machines which were activated at the beginning of this week. Town council made the call to extend the grace period to help with education. Passes are also available from the Civic Centre for anyone over 65 looking for an accessible permit. Councillor Laurier Guillmette says the one-time payment for the elderly pass has been well-received as it’s much cheaper and cuts through a lot of red tape.
