New parking meters in Kapuskasing are going active on May 16th. The new Pay and Display units will have transportable time across town so you won’t have to keep feeding meters. New rates have been implemented as well, costing $1 per-hour, accepting loonies and toonies and eventually credit cards. Manager of Protective Services Gerry Demeules says there are tentative plans for a smart phone app or at the very least buying time online before even leaving your home.
