The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry says this is the time of year when wildlife is becoming more active, including on northern roads and highways. Moose, bears, elk and deer will be out looking for food in the springtime and may wonder out onto the road. The MNRF says to use extra care when driving near wildlife signs, as they’re posted where animals are known to travel.
