The OPP is reminding residents how dangerous and how easy it is to fall for telephone scams. Northern detachments specifically want to remind residents during tax time that people posing as Canada Revenue Agency representatives are more active. Police say four tactics are used to steal your money, personal or banking information. Urgency, fear, secrecy and the request of a money transfer.
