The Cleveland Cavaliers clinched the top seed in the Eastern Conference with a 109-94 win over the Atlanta Hawks last night. That means the Toronto Raptors will be the No. 2 seed and will play either the Pacers or Pistons in the first round of the NBA playoffs.

The Blue Jays are back in action tonight when they welcome the New York Yankees to the Rogers Centre. Aaron Sanchez gets the start for Toronto.

Milos Raonic had 13 aces in a win against Marco Cecchinato  in the first round of the Monte Carlo Masters yesterday.

Some NHL notes, The Arizona Coyotes fired manager Don Maloney yesterday after a nine-year run capped by a fourth straight season of not making the playoffs.  And Hockey Canada named the first 18 players for its entry in next month’s world championship in Russia. Among the names are Edmonton’s Connor McDavid.
