Last night in the NHL Toronto needed overtime for a 4-3 win over Philadelphia, Montreal doubled Carolina 4-2, Ottawa beat Florida 3-1, Calgary thumped Vancouver 7-3 and Winnipeg edged San Jose 5-4.

The Atlanta Hawks ran to a 95-87 win over the Toronto Raptors last night. Toronto has dropped two of their last three games.

Jordan Spieth shot a 6-under 66 yesterday at Augusta National to claim the top spot on the leaderboard. Danny Lee and Shane Lowry are tied for second two strokes behind.

Kevin Koe’s Canadian rink finished the round-robin in first place at 10-1, after a 7-2 win over Switzerland in yesterday’s final draw at the Mens World Curling Championship. Canada will have the hammer when they  play  Denmark in the 1-2 Page playoff game today.
