The province is offering a program for young people interested in taking up hunting.  The MNR’s Hunter Apprenticeship Safety Program is set up specifically for anyone between the ages of 12 and 15 years old.  It requires written permission from parents and prepares young people for their class A1 and A2 Hunter Apprenticeship Safety Cards.  The program’s goals are to educate young people effectively in terms of safety, future use of firearms and rules for hunting in the field.
