Although there’s no direct mention of the Ring of Fire, one of the mining companies at the site says last week’s budget will help develop the chromite find. KWG says the federal Liberals are putting money into several areas that would benefit the Ring of Fire down the road. That includes labs at Natural Resources Canada working with mining companies to develop clean technology for mining developments. There’s also money for meaningful consultations with First Nations that would be affected by new projects.
