The OPP says distracted driving is the number one factor in road deaths. This data comes as northern detachments are targeting those on their cell phones and other devices while driving this week. Police say 69 people lost their lives in crashes which involved distracted driving last year. The OPP says it’s doing its best to make sure drivers are aware of the risks involved in texting and driving.
