DISTRACTED DRIVING CAMPAIGN KICKS OFF

The OPP says it will be dedicating this week to nabbing distracted drivers.  Police say any actions involving dialing, scrolling through contacts or manually programming a GPS while driving are considered offenses.  The OPP says it’s all part of trying to improve safety and help drivers in avoiding a $490, three demerit point offense.  Police say you are four times more likely to be in a collision if you’re using a cell phone while driving.
