Rosewood Avenue set to premiere an original Christmas song

A new, original Christmas song written by Rosewood Avenue will premiere at the duo’s annual Christmas concert at the community auditorium at Iroquois Falls Secondary School. The concert in conjunction with the Iroquois Falls Arts Council is on Friday, November 21st.

It’s been a busy 2025 for Sabrina and Dave Sauvé, the married couple from Matheson. Among bucket list items they were able to cross off is performing on the main stage at Ottawa Bluesfeat with Lainey Wilson and the Red Clay Strays.  Another was a performance of more than two hours at the CNE in Toronto.

“We had a really good turnout as well and we had a lot of family that live in the Toronto area and even some that decided to take a road trip and watch us play,” says Sabrina, “so it was pretty cool. “

“I’m going to be honest” Dave chimes in. “I wasn’t a fan of driving downtown Toronto to get there, but we got it done.”

Sabrina and Dave Sauvé are extremely proud of their roots. Whenever they perform, they have a backdrop of their logo over a Northern Ontario landscape.

Dave says the artwork on their latest T-shirts is evergreen trees in a swamp.

“One person who bought one of our shirts asked ‘is that your backyard?’ and I said it’s somebody’s backyard here in Northern Ontario,” he chuckles. “So we try to represent Northern Ontario as much as we can. We’re proud to be from here and we’re never going to forget that.”

Tickets for the Christmas concert are available from the arts council and on Rosewood Avenue’s website.
