O.F.S.C. TRAILS BEGINNING TO CLOSE

Many OFSC trails in the northeast are now under a limited status.  After a weekend of mild temperatures and sunshine the OFSC says many trails in low-lying areas are filled with slush and that ice conditions have worsened over crossings.  Kapuskasing, Moonbeam and Timmins trails have been affected the most with Cochrane, for the time being, maintaining and open status.  With more plus-temperatures and two separate freezing rain warnings, trails could deteriorate quickly over the next week.  Northern OPP detachments have already issued warnings regarding crossing ice.
