In the NHL, Montreal edged Buffalo 3-2, Ottawa lost 6-2 to Florida, Edmonton got by Minnesota 2-1 while Detroit shaded Winnipeg 3-2.

The Cochrane Crunch have clinched their division in the NOJHL and have earned themselves a bye to the next round a playoffs.  The Crunch’s Hunter Atchison took home awards for both NOJHL MVP and best team player.  Round two of playoffs begins on March 17th.
