The OPP is reminding residents to keep their snowmobiles secure when storing or transporting them. This comes as a snowmobile was stolen out of the back of a pick-up truck near Kirkland Lake. The OPP says a thief only needs about 30 seconds to make off with a sled, even out of the back of a trailer or truck bed. The OPP is asking riders to make sure valuables and documentation is locked up, keys are not left in the vehicle and to park it in a well-lit area if possible.
