The Iroquois Falls building that has for the past several years housed the Mill Market is now a second fire station.
Chief Dan Boucher confirms that the building will hold a new, larger tanker the department’s buying in preparation for bigger buildings, including some barns, that are coming. It will also house the other tanker truck and forest firefighting equipment.
Boucher says the municipality has owned the building all along and has been letting the Mill Market use it.
The BMI Group, which operates the market, says it will not be opening this summer.
