Last night in the NHL the Edmonton Oilers beat the New York Islanders 3-1 San Jose thumped Vancouver 4-1 and Chicago edged the Washington Capitols 3-2, the Capitols acquired Toronto’s Daniel Winnik and a fifth-round pick in  2016 in exchange for Brooks Laich (like), Connor Carrick and a second-round pick in 2016.
