Cochrane mayor Peter Politis confirms that municipal CAO Monika Malherbe has been relieved of her duties. It took effect last Wednesday, April 23rd, when council appointed Chris Wray to the position in an acting capacity.
The mayor will not comment any further, citing confidentiality.
Malherbe herself confirms her firing, which she says is without cause and she was not given a reason.
Malherbe also declines further comment.
