Strength in numbers important to new Cochrane Board of Trade president

A Cochrane born-and-raised owner of a mining products and services business is the new president of the Board of Trade.

Daniel Brunet says the board will keep up with the latest on tariffs and other challenges to its members, to ensure they’re getting the correct information.

“So we continue to educate our members in regards to all these issues,” he adds.

Brunet takes over the presidency from pharmacist Frank Louvelle, whose family is moving to Orillia.

He says his group’s cooperation with chambers of commerce in Kapuskasing and Hearst under the Northern Corridor banner, is very important.

“The Northern Corridor has been an exceptional help to the Board of Trade’s success over the last year,” Brunet remarks. “We’ve also more than doubled our memberships and we’re going to continue to do so, because we’re showing our members the value they’re getting for their dollars.”

Brunet aims to continue the Business Awards Gala, which just had its second annual event; and to participate with other groups in community events.
