The Nashville Predators beat the Toronto Maple Leafs 3-2 last night at the ACC, the Leafs have lost 16 of their last 20 games. Elsewhere the Ottawa Senators won their fourth straight, defeating the Edmonton Oilers 4-1,LA edged Calgary 2-1 and Dallas skated to a 5-3 win over Winnipeg.
After six straight wins to open the Scotties Tournament of Hearts, Alberta lost 7-5 to Ontario last night to sit at 6-1. Northern Ontario chased the leaders at 5-1 with a pair of wins earlier in the day. Defending champion Jennifer Jones downed Saskatchewan 11-5 Jones and Quebec’s Marie-France Larouche were both 4-2.
