The bus service in Iroquois Falls for seniors and anyone with mobility issues is going to benefit from the spring Tim Hortons Smile cookie campaign.
Access Transit secretary-treasurer Suzanne Castonguay says the cookies will be on sale between April 28th and May 4th for $2.00 each.
“A hundred percent of it goes to Access Transit and we need that for transportation, the bus, the fees, the repairs, the fuel, the drivers,” she points out. “We always are in need of funds, so this is a great help for us.”
Free delivery is offered for large enough orders in town. Castonguay says it’s also available in outlying communities.
“Something different this year, they’re having plushies,” she adds. “They’re little stuffed cookies. There’s four different faces and supposedly they’re going to be selling for $5.00 and 42.00 of that goes to access Transit.”
As always, volunteer help is needed to decorate the cookies. You can sign up through the Access Transit Facebook page.
