The 16th annual Tom Saul Memorial Snowmobile Ride is set for this Saturday in Cochrane. Registration begins at the Polar Bear Habitat Snowmobile Museum at 9 am with the 50 km ride starting at 10:30.
More than 100 riders are expected to take part. Vintage Riders Snowmobile Club executive member Dan Girard says over the past 16 years they’ve raised about $80,000 for the Lady Minto Hospital Chemotherapy Department. He adds the money provides care and comfort to purchase special chairs for treatment and I-pads to watch movies.
$10 donation is appreciated to help out.
Hotdog lunch and chili will be provided for participants halfway through the ride.
