The state of northern roads in the winter is coming up at Queen’s Park. Nickel Belt MPP France Gelinas is making it clear that northern highways are dangerous, with an erratic highway cleaning pattern. For example, highway 101 is classified as a level two road, dropping down to level three in some areas. This means it will be clear pavement, then snow covered, then clear pavement again. Gelinas says this makes driving in the north dangerous. The Minister of Transportation has agreed to look into the issue.
