The Cochrane Public Library is hosting a scam savvy parenting seminar with the Ontario Provincial Police today at 5:30 pm.
Community Safety Officer Constable Kyler Brouwer says with the cyber scams becoming increasingly sophisticated, the session will help provide insights into common threats like gaming scams, influencer giveaways and sextortion schemes.
He adds that parents will learn practical strategies to protect their children and begin conversations.
