The Progressive Conservative party has acclaimed Iroquois Falls Mayor Tory Delaurier to carry its Timiskaming-Cochrane banner in the next provincial election.
No date for the election has been set.
In a social media post, the party calls Delaurier “a dedicated advocate for Northern Ontario, leading initiatives that focus on economic revitalization, infrastructure development and community well-being.”
Timiskaming-Cochrane is currently held by New Democrat John Vanthof, who is running for re-election.
