Flag of Remembrance raised at Town Hall

Joined by mayor and council, Branch 89 of the Royal Canadian Legion raised the Flag of Remembrance Tuesday outside Cochrane Town Hall.  The Branch was represented by president Patricia Nelson and Ladies Auxiliary president, Dorothy Smith.

This marks the lead-up to Remembrance Day, Monday, November 11th.  The service will be held at the Commando Pavilion; however, if weather permits, it will be at the cenotaph across the bridge from the pavilion.

That will be followed by a lunch. As usual, veterans and service members will eat for free.  Members of the public are welcome, for a donation towards their meals.
