A Labour Day evening car meet is planned for Monday at the parking lot of the Independent Grocer in Cochrane, between 6:00pm and dark.
Organizer Yvette Larabee says it’s a “meet”, not a “show”. There is no entry fee or prizes, it’s just a bunch of car enthusiasts getting together to appreciate each other’s classic cars.
Larabee says it ranges from her ’57, two-door Chev Belair; to a 66 Chevelle S-S and a 66 Buick Wildcat.
“We heard rumours of a beautiful 69 GTO and I mean this thing is pristine,” she enthuses. “We’re hoping he’s going to be back.”
